The Rock Art in the HailRegion of Saudi Arabia has been prepared as part of thenomination of the rock art sites for inscription on the WorldHeritage List. The two rock art sites of Jabal Umm Sinmanin the town of Jubbah and Jabal al-Manjor and Jabal Raatnear Shuwaymis are located in the Hail Province of theKingdom of Saudi Arabia.The Jubbah oasis in the southern part of Great NafudDesert,was the centre of an advanced culture during the verybeginnings of Arab civilization. Overlooking the freshwaterlake that then existed was the hill range of Umm Sinman,providing shelter and water to both people and animals. Hereon these hills, the ancestors of present Arabs left the marksof their presence, their religions, social, cultural, intellectualand philosophical perspectives of their beliefs about life anddeath, metaphysical and cosmological ideologies
